Installing XPP

For Bard Ermentrout's tutorial on Monday, July 29, you will need to install XPP. The instructions on the main XPP webpage will give you most of the information you need: https://sites.pitt.edu/~phase/bard/bardware/xpp/xpp.html

IF YOU HAVE MACOS, use the universal binary (for either mac silicon or intel chips) and following the instructions on the above page for Catalina (unless you know you have an older version of macos). You may get an error that says something like "X-Display not found." To solve this, you need to install XQuartz. You can do so at this link: https://www.xquartz.org/ or by using homebrew (brew install --cask xquartz). Then you may need to restart your computer, and xpp should work.

We do not know of anything that comes up for installing via the windows instructions, but let us know if you run into any errors there!
